Problem changing the state of a button on a different slide
May 11, 2015
I'm using a trigger and a True/False variable on slide x to change the state of a button on slide y. On slide y, I have set the condition that if the variable has changed (which I've confirmed it has), then the state of the button changes from Disabled to Normal when the TIMELINE BEGINS. Unfortunately, when I publish and view the course, the button on slide y still appears Disabled and only changes to Normal IF I roll over it. There are no triggers for any Hover conditions so I don't know why the state of the button won't just change automatically when the timeline starts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I worked up a simple example, that does what i think you are talking about.
if this helps, awesome, if not could you share your .story so i can see your setup?
Hi Terry. Thanks very much for addressing my issue. For some reason, this works in your .story example but not in mine (even though I use the same coding!) Can you have a look at my attachment and see if I missed some small detail?
Try this one attached.
I came across 2 issues documented in the updated tester.story (Note: I removed a ton of "Slide Master" templates in order to make the file smaller)
Mark, THANK YOU! You identified the small detail that I had forgotten about: I neglected to set the slide to the Initial state when revisited. Once I made this setting, my module worked as expected. Thanks again!
Glad that you were able to get the assistance that you needed here Curt! Thanks for the update :)
