Problem in managing 2 different score types in a quiz

Sep 06, 2016

Hi all,

I am trying to create a quiz in SL1 that gives the possibility to the learner to choose the difficulty of the question (in betting on the question).

I have created a 4 question quiz. The question itself is on a normal slide where I inserted 2 button (bet or not bet), that lead to 2 different slide with same answers (multiple choice or multiple response), but different scoring (points given in case of correct answer is greater if the learner decided to bet).

The problem is on the result slide, as even if the learner answers all question correctly, but do not bets on them, he doesn't manage to pass the quiz.

In the quiz result slide properties I set a passing score of 80% that is not reached.

Does anybody has an idea how to resolve it taking into consideration that I have to upload results in LMS?

Thank you all.

Hi Silvia,

I'm not sure I'm clear on your set up, but it sounds like since you're branching them to different questions you're likely tracking all the questions and therefore the ones they never see they're scoring a zero on and being marked below passing. There isn't a built in method to only score them based on the ones they see in the course, so you may want to look at sharing a copy of your file here so that folks in the community could weigh in as well.
