I am coming to you because we have got (sometimes) problem of display in SL2 regarding the pictures. It is not sporadic but some of my teams told me the same thing. I explained:
As you can see, the picture is "empty", the timeline shows that it is a picture but we cannot see it. If you look at the left in the slides view, the picture is visible.
It is a bug and affects most of the pictures of my SL2 file.
In your file, I am not able to see any picture in the story view or the slide view.
You may want to import this into a new file and try to re-insert the pictures. It may be good to do a save as and make a back up file in case this happens again. You may also want to run the repair steps in the link I shared above.
This issue has been reported to our QA Team, but I do not have a resolution to share at this time. You are welcome to work directly with our team here and share your file so that we can take a look.

Please confirm that you are working locally with your files as described here. You could try inserting this into a new file ans see if this corrects the issue. You may also want to follow the steps listed here if you see this issue in other files.

Are you able to create this issue in a new file or are you only having an issue with this file?

No I am not able to recreate the same issue but may arrive sometimes.
Enclosed the file, can you tell me if you can fix this problem? I tried but it is not really functioning
