Thank you for your reply. The package doesn't launch/open when testing in our LMS. It works using IE8 but not when we test using the IE11 or Forefox browsers. We have diabled pop-up blockers so it unlikely to be that.
Dave, have you tested any other content from your LMS successfully with IE11 and Firefox24? We're using SumTotal LMS and the version we're currently running does not fully support these newer browsers yet.
Just wondering if it could be something on the LMS side of things. If you're able to launch other SCORM content then it would rule this out obviously...
Yes, other content does launch and perform well in IE11 and Firefox. It may be an issue with the LMS, however it seems unlikely as other content is OK. Just wanted to know if Storyline 2 was compatible/performed well with these newer browsers.
We published with the HTML5 box ticked - presumably this will run the Flash version for IE and FF?
We're testing an upgrade version of SumTotal LMS (that adds support for IE11) in our certification system, in house.
We've done quite a bit of testing in it already, but out of curiosity I uploaded a SL2 built course and tested with IE11 and it launched, played and reported back to the LMS as expected.
Unfortunately there is a value containing “new-line” characters that makes the page break. This results in the phenomenon that the button is not working anymore. I have to admit that we have never been reported a similar problem with another e-Learning yet – i’ll take a deeper look into the issue (fix at our side) – but for a quick resolution it would be best if the e-Learning removes those “new-line” characters from the following value:
cmi.interactions.0.description = “Question 5 of 5
Select the correct answers and click Submit.”
Anyone got any ideas what to do next please? Thank you!
I have a Storyline2 module that launches from a server (using IE11), but then once you press the NEXT button it just spins (freezes)... the module runs from my local drive just fine in IE11 and it runs from the server using Chrome... I am dumbfounded... here's the kicker: Another Storyline2 module I just built runs fine in all environments in IE11. Any ideas?
Do you have any video files in the course? Have you tested this on different computers? It could be a security setting from within the webserver. You could test this through Tempshare and see if you get the same issue.
We have just purchased Storyline 2 and seem to be having this exact issue when loading our content into Moodle. Works with Chrome and IE8, but not IE11. Have you had any luck with this?? Sorry to bring up old issues but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean the HTML5 content or flash?
If it is flash install flash on your machine, if it is HTML5 the only supported Windows browser is chrome

Not sure which way to go with this?

Dave, that's a correct assumption.
Here's a link on how the content is served for different devices/browsers - http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline-2/how-to-distribute-articulate-storyline-content-for-flash-html5-and-articulate-mobile-player-sl2
... And here's a link with supported browsers. Scroll down to the "Viewing Content" section - https://www.articulate.com/store/store-faq-storyline.php?tech-specs#sl2-tech-specs
Thanks Brian. It all makes sense, just unsure as to why the module doesn't launch...

Well, some feedback from the LMS provider:

Hi,
Does anyone know where the following line can be found please?:
cmi.interactions.0.description = “Question 5 of 5
Select the correct answers and click Submit.”

We're having this issue too with IE 11 not launching our Storyline 2 course from our LMS. Any new info?
Hi Brooke! Have you tested the course outside of your LMS? In SCORM Cloud perhaps to see if you are able to replicate the issue?
