Problem: Web Objects Seem to Override Main Slide
Nov 07, 2017
Hi there,
I'm relatively new to Articulate 360 (Storyline).
I have a problem when using web objects. I have a menu set up where you can select various concepts for review. When you select a particular concept, you go to a slide with a audio description of a concept. On that slide is a button with a link to an online dictionary that users can click on if they don't quite get my description. The dictionary button activates a web object on a 2nd layer -- the web object is the web address of the online dictionary. I find that everything works peachy the first time a slide about a concept is visited. However, if I leave the slide, visit another slide, and then come back to the first slide I visited, the base slide is skipped over and the web object on the 2nd layer activates automatically. It's like the base layer isn't there, only the 2nd layer with the web object.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I feel like I'm just missing a single command, but I can't figure out what it might be.
I hope this description makes sense. If not, please let me know. Thanks!

In addition to Matthew's idea, you could look at adding in a trigger to "hide the slide layer" based on a user action.
HI Matthew, that did it! Thanks for telling me that. I don't think I would've discovered it (any time soon) without your help. Guess it's back to the tutorials for me..
