Problem when student resumes his attempt

Oct 27, 2020

We have developed many learning packages with SL360, and we have uploaded them in a Moodle 3.9. The export of these packages has been in the SCORM 1.2 standard.

We are having problems with user attempts. Specifically, when they try to retrieve the information saved from their attempt. The most common problems are:

- When the students relaunches the package, the window freezes or blocks and they cannot navigate.
- Sometimes, the student does not see all the content of the activity: phrases, images, texts are missing, etc.

The only way to fix these issues is to remove the attempt of that student, losing their progress, and have to redo it all from scratch.

I've tested these packages on cloud.scorm.com as well, and they still reproduce the same errors, so I think it's a problem with building the packages (.story proper) or exporting to the SCORM 1.2 standard. Also, I think that the problem has to do with the decoding of the cmi.suspend_data field, but I don't think it is a problem with that field, since it is of type LONGTEXT in the database, with space up to 4 gigabytes.

For example, on the next screen, the student correctly retrieves the last activity visited:

Student retrieves his last activity

But when the student navigates, on the second or third click, the SCORM freezes:

Screen frozen after two clicks

I have also attached a log file, with the activity logs for this example, including the moment the image freezes, and apparently, there are no errors.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Best wishes

Hi Paz Conde,

Thanks for reaching out, and I appreciate you taking the time to test your files in SCORM Cloud. Since you're noticing the same issues there, I'd like to connect you with our support team to take a closer look.

Can you share a troublesome file with us using your personal upload link here? Once they're done testing, they'll reach out with next steps!
