With Storyline 360 when I do an export to scorm (in French), titles that contain accented characters are displayed with errors: "?" or "& 322;" in place of accented characters.
I can correct this "by hand" in the files but this is not practical.
I work with the interface in French and the dictionary is also in French. Thank you for your ideas and suggestions
You mentioned titles, do you mean just the course or slide titles? Or all inclusions of accented characters aren't working in your SCORM output? I know that there were issues with questions/answers and how they display in SCORM as detailed here.
It's just the title of the course. The problem is not with the plateforme because when I look the sources of the files exported by storyline, I see errors.
I found this text :
<title>L'évaluation : quelques définitions</title>
in these files :
Index_lms.html
Index_lms_flash.html
index_lms_html5.html
story.html
story_flash.html
story_html5.html
And this text :
<title>L' ?valuation : quelques d ?finitions</title>
2 X into the Imsmanifest.xml file
And finally this :
<string language="en-US">L' ?valuation : quelques d ?finitions</string>
Thanks for sharing that. The question marks in the title is also a known issue within Storyline 2 and there is a fix listed here and I am seeing the same behavior when testing a file in Storyline 360 so I'll report it to our team as well. I don't have documentation yet, but I suspect the same fix may work in the interim.
That's exactly what I did and it works. But it would be better not to have to do this manipulation. I see that in the metadate.xml file there is a reference to "en-US", Maybe an idea to fix definitively this bug
Thanks for letting us know that fix also worked for you. It's definitely something our team is continuing to investigate so we'll keep you posted here.
Good news, Jean! We just released another update for Articulate 360, and it includes a fix for the problem where accented characters in titles were replaced by question marks in SCORM output.
Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.
Please let me know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.
