Problem with crossword puzzle triggers and variables

Your correct layer is always shown because the trigger's conditions are always met. For example, C-munich has a default value of C and so forth....and that (because none of the variables is ever changed) will always be true. You need to edit the trigger conditions to check the value of the textentry fields, rather than the variables.

Thank you for your reply. I changed the default values for each condition and it seems to work!! I need to challenge it a little more before I am happy with it.

Hi Michael, 

I have more issues with this crossword. I changed the default value but now it is showing only the incorrect layer.  I have removed all triggers and just left a trigger with a few conditions in place unfortunately, the correct layer is still not showing??  

You mentioned editing the trigger conditions to check the value of the text entry rather than variables but in the trigger wizard I only see variable, shape and window options, do I need to do this editing elsewhere? any help is really appreciated.
