Problem with dragged over (html5)

Jul 27, 2017

Hi!

I use triggers "dropped on" and "dragged over" in many courses.

I use "variable changes = 1" when object "dropped on" and "variable changes = 0" when object "dragged over".

This triggers very good when I want to hide or show object (for example button) in drag and drop quiz.

In flash all works good but in html5 "dragged over" works not correct.

When object dragged over from object, variable not changes.

You can see that in my peek-record:

In attach you can see sample project from this record.

I think this is software bug. Do you think that too? Will you fix that?

Hey Daniil!

Thanks so much for reaching out here and sharing that detailed description of what's happening. That screen recording was super helpful to illustrate it, too.

I saw the same thing when testing your file, and I was also able to reproduce the behavior in a new file.

I'm going to share the issue with my team as a possible software bug.

From here, I’ll meet with my team to take a closer look so we can determine next steps. Sometimes my team catches errors in my logic and we don’t have a bug after all. Of course, if that’s the case, I’ll let you know!

Depending on priority and risk, some bugs can be fixed quickly, while others take longer to resolve. Here's more information on how we identify and tackle bugs.

Thanks again for reporting this to us. I’ll let you know as soon as we have an update on this issue. I'm sorry that it's been slowing you down!

Hello Daniil,

Great news!  We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.

The item you'll be interested in is:

We fixed several issues with triggers in HTML5 output, including on-click triggers that would automatically execute when using keyboard navigation to tab between objects, key-press triggers that wouldn't jump to the next slide when they were assigned to data-entry fields, and inconsistent hover triggers.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
