problem with marking hebrew text

Jan 29, 2013

Hi,

I am using the last update of storyline (update 2 ver. 1212.1412).

When marking the text in the textbox that is in Hebrew fonts (Right to left mode),  I can not see the marking text.

In english it is fine.

is there any solution to this problem ?

Hi Ran,

Thanks for the additional information. You could check to make sure you're using the correct DPI and see if that resolves the highlighting issue with the text. You can find information on that here. If that doesn't change, or if you're already using the correct DPI, try to make sure you're not viewing the content above or below 100% zoom. You should be able to adjust this on the lower right-hand corner of the screen, when you're in slide view.

If you still don't see a change, are you able to share your project's .STORY file here, so I can take a look and see if I experience the same problem? You should be able to attach the file by using the paperclip icon in your response. Keep in mind, however, that the file may not attach properly if it's too large. You can try inserting the slide into a new, blank presentation which may help with the file size.

Thanks!

Christine

Good morning Ran,

Thank you very much for sharing the file. I took a look and I think I see what's going on here. I can select the text, either by clicking and dragging or pressing CTRL+A, but the actual selection highlighting is not showing.

I did a little extra digging this morning and I found that we actually received a report on this issue and we're currently working on a fix for this.

In the meantime, if you need to modify an entire line of text, you should be able to select it by pressing CTRL+A and applying any formatting to the text that you'd like. If you only need to modify a particular word, you should be able to double-click that word and modify it, separately. I know this isn't the preferred method, since you can't actually see that the text is highlighted, but you should still be able to make changes to the text.

I apologize for the inconvenience, hopefully we'll have an update and solution for this issue soon.

Thanks Ran,

Christine
