It looks like Brian is helping you out here, but I also wanted to point you to this tutorial on editing screen recordings which can be a bit different. If you're inserting it as a Step by Step and the size you set for the screen recording is the same as your Story size, it will appear full screen and you won't be able to scale it smaller.
