Problem with slide-display in Storyview..

Mar 15, 2019

Hi.

I have made a simple Storyline-quiz (6 slides) to implement in Rise.

When I work with the quiz in Storyline, the Storyview split the slides up between slide 2 and 3, making it difficult to jump between the slides, when I edit.

Problem with Storyview..Problem with Storyview..

It's not crucial for the function of the quiz, but I'm wondering if I made a mistake or if there's an error?

The triggers on the slides before and after the "split" are identical, so there's no apparent reason for Storyline not to display the slides on one vertical line.

Hi Michael.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

There's no regular "next"-triggers on any of the slides. But on the correct feedback-layer of each of the slides 1-5, there's a button for continue, that I have set to a specific slide number.

Nothing in the Storyview changed when I tried to set the button-triggers to "next slide" instead of specific slide number. I do however seem to recall that the Storyview was normal at an early point of production, so maybe the problem occurred the first time I changed the "next"-trigger to a specific slide number?

Also on slide 2-6, there's a "restart quiz"-button. This also seems to impact the Storyview, but dosen't explain why the problem only displays between slide 2 and 3.

I'm leaving in 20 minutes or so :-)

You don't have a result slide in your course. I'd suggest changing slide 1.6 into a result slide and then add a retry quiz button and a redirect to the 1st slide of your quiz. It is a default button on the result slide failure layer. I haven't tried but I would be surprised if you can't just copy it to anywhere in your course.

Hi Michael.

Very nice of you to fix the setup for me, thank you :)

I now see that you where right about my fake result slide. I missed the connection between the build-in result slide and the trigger action "Reset results". That's why I initially used the trigger "Restart course" instead.

Now everything both looks and works perfect :)

The two (nearly identical) restart course buttons on the slides is just because I haven't decided if I will go with round or square corners on the buttons. Maybe I also missed the setting for changing this on a button ;)
