I removed all triggers referring to advancing to next slide when timeline ends and added triggers that advance when user clicks... (NEXT or a text box). But it STILL advances when the timeline ends and ignores my triggers. Any idea what I've done wrong?
Have you checked on the master slide and the layer functions to turn off all navigation elements but those you want to activate. Also check for rogue triggers or variables which may be activating some for of continue.
For anyone else experiencing this, I found my own solution on another discussion thread (with thanks to Ms. Rebecca Fleisch Cordeiro),
"... the easiest way to check them all/change them all is to switch views to Story View. As you click on each slide, look in the right pane at slide properties, Slide Advances. The two options are By User or automatically.
To change them to all by user, select all the slides and choose "By User.""

Thank you, Tim. But while I was waiting, I found an even easier option which I've posted below for others.
Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing your solution Richard :)
