Problem with variable

Hello,

I can not assign a value to a variable of another slide.

I want to change the button color CHAPTER 1 based on slides visited.
If you click on the home button in a slide, I wish the color is pink or red. If this is the last screen of the chapter, the button will turn red. By cons, if you leave the current chapter, the button will turn pink.

Enclosed is my example does not work.

Hi Sandrine - welcome to Heroes!

You were almost there with your triggers and states but the issue is with the 2 triggers on slide 1.2 that change the state of Rectangle 1 - "CHAPITRE 1" and more specifically, the "When" in these triggers.

Currently, the states are triggered to change when the variable ETAT changes, but if you amend this when the timeline of the slide starts, this should resolve your issue. For example:
