Problem with variable
Apr 22, 2014
Hi to all,
I need a variable "global", true / false, which maintains the state imposed by the triggers in the slide.
I try to explain:
1- I initialized, false, a variable in the slide master;
2- at the end of the first slide the variable is set to true;
3- always in the first slide as first control, through a trigger, if the variable is true, and in this case I display an image.
when I go to the second slide and go back to the first, logically, the variable would still be true and instead slide in the picture does not appear, why? where am I wrong?
P.S.
I state that the slides are in the "Reset to initial state", but this should not change the state of the variable.
Thanks in advance

Is the trigger s=on timeline start or is it when variable changes/
Hi,
sorry but what do you mean by s = on?
however, do not use "variable change", if the variable is initially false and after in any slide is set to true for what obscure reason which does not maintain the state?
Have you added a reference to check that the variable is changing? It may be you have a trigger somewhere that is resetting the value. It would also help to see the offending slide or a screenshot of the trigger pane
To clarify the problem I attach a small test file
In this "course" in the first slide is an image that is visible (change initial state) to timeline end simultaneously the variable "varTest" is set to true; in the second slide if "varTest" is true should see the green image otherwise red image.
When you go back, if ever "varTest" is true, you should immediately view the image green (trigger on the timeline start)
All this does not work, hence the state of "varTest" is not retained.
There is a trigger on your slide master that sets the variable back to false
