Problem with .wav files

Aug 13, 2013

I'm trying to import .wav files into a course. he import audio function shows the 1st pop-up as importing the file, but the timeline shows the audio as a 1/4 second clip. I tried a mp3 file from a different course and it seemed to import fine. Anybody having this same issue or know a resolution?

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich,

It's suggested that you have your audio files as 16 bit 44 KHZ PCM WAV for best results.

Are your audio files or project files on your local hard drive? If not, that may be what's causing the problem.

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

Let me know if any of the above solves the problem, and you can always submit a Support case to have our team test it out as well.
