Great, if you are using Internet explorer then you need flash installed, for HTML5 Chrome on PC/Mac and Safari on Mac are supported browsers all other desktop browsers should use flash to view the content.
are you trying to view the html5 output - it only works with Chrome browser - it is not supported in IE, Edge, FF, Safari etc that could be why you are experiencing the issue.

This looks like you are trying to view the html5 in an unsupported browser. which version of Storyline are you using?
I'm using storyline 2.
