Problems using content library

When I try to insert any items from the content library (characters, photos illustrations or icons) into a new layer, storyline 360 completely freezes and I have to restart my computer. Any ideas?

I should add that I had the same problem with Storyline 360 on another account, another computer, and another network... same issue. On my current workplace computer I have never successfully used the Content Library without freezing. Media Library freezes the program about half the time as well. Thanks.

That mean, that if you find that when you open your characters or triggers or layers sometime it freezes.

that mean most probably you're using 2 screen, "PC + Extended screen  or Laptop+ Extended Screen"

so while you're using Articulate, and this problem happened to you try to find out the thing that you click on will be on the other screen, if you couldn't find it out, just press ESC button on your keyboard, and reopen again and you'll find where it usually open.

Sorry Storyline keeps freezing on you, Kayleigh. I'm happy to help!

A few questions to start:

  • Could you let me know what version of Storyline you're using? You can find this detail by clicking on the Help tab, then About Storyline.
  • Are you working from and saving to a local C: drive? Using network and shared drives can result in similar behavior, so I like to rule this out as the culprit.

If you're already working from a local hard drive, our all-star Support team is standing by to find out why that keeps happening. They'll do what they can to ensure the freezing doesn't happen again!

Hi there, I’m not sure of the version because I had our IT team come out and uninstall and reinstall Storyline. I was using Storyline 360, though.

I do use a network drive, but others on my team aren’t experiencing the same problems. Also, when it happened to me at home, I was using a C: drive. Is there anywhere I can save my work or anything I can do here to prevent the same issue?
