I created a GUI. I have used shapes to build buttons. I have copied the shapes to place them exactly where I wanted them. However I change the trigger on one button and it changes the trigger on all the buttons.
Question is how can I break this link between the buttons I have created.
Which slide are you referring to? I can add triggers to the buttons on slide 1.2. and 1.3 at will and they don't override each other in any way. What am I missing?
I don't understand why I am having this problem. I have rebooted. I tried recreating another page and building new buttons. Still happens. I think it is actually a bug in my installation of Storyline. The fact that you (Michael Hinze) did not have the problem means it is not in my file.
Can I double check Michael. You were able to change the link on a trigger without it affecting the other buttons on that page? Is that correct?
Are you on version 2? I have just update to version 1.8 to fix that bug that was happening. I am wondering if it is affecting operators on 1.8?
See the attached file that I opened and revised in SL1. I added a bunch of bogus triggers to the buttons on 1.3 (and a couple on slide 1.2). Everything works as I would expect it.
Problem fixed. My stupidity. Flicking around between too many programs and was not thinking right. All fixed. Thank you for your help and patience. Thank you again Michael.

Seems odd behaviour. Can you share your .story file here so that we can have a closer look?
I tried posting this a 20 minutes ago but it did not seem to work. Hopefully the upload works this time.
Thanks for your help Michael. I hope you can find a solution.

Your not missing anything. It must be a bug with my storyline program. I might try rebooting and see what happens. I will keep you posted.
