problems with roll over triggers

Nov 21, 2013

Hello. I have a problem with a drag-over trigger working at first but then it stops working after a state change of an object attached to it occurs.

Is there a way around this?

The specifics:

I have 1 layer

4 objects on the left and 4 on the right all attached with freeform drag and drop.

obj. 1 on left matches with obj. 1 on Right

obj. 2 on left matches with obj. 2 on Right

obj. 3 on left matches with obj. 3 on Right

obj. 4 on left matches with obj. 4 on Right

but  obj 1 on left when dropped on obj. 1 on Right (changes the state of obj. 2 on right...as I want it to do)

but then I loose that drag-over trigger...so the learner doesn't know that obj. 2 on right is actually still available as a drop target.

is there a work around for this? or something im missing?

any help would be appreciated!

Hi Samara and welcome to Heroes!

Thanks for describing you're set up here, although I'm unsure if you mean the drag over trigger is no longer working for you, or exactly what is happening? Is it possible for you to share your .story file here with us so that we can take a look at what you're describing? You'll use the paper clip icon to share it here in the forums. so

the water drop is to be dropped on the lightning bolt -

the pipe dropped on the wire

the big valve dropped on the resistor

blue pump dropped on the battery.

each have a state change associated with them.

the problem is: if the user drops the water first (or before the pipe is dropped) the drag over state of the wire disappears- (and I need the drag over state to show still b/c the pipe still needs to be dropped on the wire (so users know its still an option).

if the drag over state only works once for objects until something is dropped- is there a work around for this? I cant think of how to do it.

thanks!
