Problems with selecting images
Oct 17, 2016
Hi everyone, hope you can help with a strange problem that I have recently been experiencing.
All of a sudden, images in my Storyline program don't seem to lining up properly. The size of the image is correct, as is the position (according to how it should be in our templates) but it just looks wrong on the screen. When previewing, sometimes the images look ok, sometimes they don't.
The problem seems to be arising from the fact that when you select the image, it looks like there are a couple of pixels where there is a gap between the image and the 'frame' that surrounds the image when selected (see screenshot).
None of my colleagues are experiencing this issue when looking at the same templates.
I haven't changed any settings (that I know of!) and it has been behaving the same way before and after the latest update, so I don't think it's related to this.
Does anyone know how I can solve this, as it's making it very difficult to do my work!
Thanks.

Hi RM
check your Windows DPI setting is 96 DPI or in a Windows 10 - 100% that can sometimes cause display issues.
Hi RM,
In order to move the image with precision try selecting the image + Ctrl key + arrow key.
Hi RM,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out here! As Wendy mentioned, I would first recommend checking out your DPI settings. If your DPI is at a different setting than the supported one, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:
You'll also want to make sure that you're working from your local drive, as working from a network drive can cause some irrational behavior.
If you're still experiencing this issue after verifying that you're working locally and your DPI setting is right, I would recommend running a repair on your software to fix this erratic behavior.
Keep us posted on how that goes! :)
