Problems with the Incorrect Answer Layer
Apr 01, 2015
I'm quite new to Storyline and am having trouble setting up my quiz feedback correctly, even though I've been looking all through the tutorials and the forums for assistance. If a user responds incorrectly to a quiz question, I want them to go to a lightbox slide to review the correct information. After closing the lightbox slide, I want the user to come back to the quiz question and to have another chance to answer correctly. At one point it was all working properly, and then I must have clicked the wrong thing. Now, when I preview the quiz, nothing happens when I choose an incorrect answer and click Submit. If I click the correct answer, the quiz properly moves on to the next question. I've attached the screen views for the Incorrect Layer. What else would be helpful to show you all?

And in case it's helpful, this is what the timeline looks like:
Hi Sue,
I'd look at the trigger order - if you're hiding the layer before it's allowed to show the lightbox you'd likely never see the lightbox. Here is additional information about how triggers will execute in a particular order.
If you're still having difficulty I think we'll need to take a look at the .story file to see how it's behaving.
Thanks for your time, Ashley. In the end, it was just easiest for me to delete those quiz slides and redo them, and now they work fine.
Thanks for the update Sue and I'm glad you were able to utilize a method that works for you.
