Programmatically interacting with in-course buttons with javascript
Nov 26, 2018
Hello everyone,
For Storyline courses that are published as an HTML5 only, is there a way to interact with the buttons in the course itself? I know that the player buttons can be clicked via JavaScript but I was wondering if there's a way to access the buttons and other interactions within the course itself and not on the player.
I've done some investigation and here's what I know:
1. Course slides in HTML5 are being rendered as an SVG.
2. I can't inspect the contents of the course itself especially the buttons and other interaction.
I'm trying to build a script where it automates clicking and other course interactions for QA purposes.

The only supported way I can think of doing this is to use variables to change the states of the buttons, so that they appear that they are being clicked.
