check the length of your timeline this is usually the culprit.
The seekbar runs for the length of the timeline, so if the audio finishes before the end of the timeline the seekbar will keep running. In the example beow you would drag the timeline back to the end of the audio track unless of course you have things happen on screen after the audio filnishes.
Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering how the slides with that issue ended up with timelines like that. Certainly, an easy fix, but I want to know if I can prevent it in the future.
sometimes if you insert an object from another slide where it's duration on the timeline is longer than the existing timeline - it will push out to the longest object.
Also, can you help me align the slides to the menu item order. As seen in the snip, EXAMPLES comes before PLAN AHEAD in the slide deck and it plays in the correct order. However the menu bar skips ahead and shows the last item (PLAN AHEAD) while EXAMPLES is shown in the menu, and then, when the player moves to PLAN AHEAD, the last slide, the menu shows EXAMPLES (which is 2nd from last. )
I'm sure it's a problem with numbering as EXAMPLES is numbered 7.6 and PLAN AHEAD is 7.5. However, when I rename, it doesn't change the number order. They do run in the correct order because they are lined up correctly in the storyline. I just can't get the numbers to change in the right place so that the menu lines up approriately with the slides' order.
I'm having a similar issue except all my elements are set to Show Until the End of Timeline. The audio is only 13 seconds but the time line runs almost 30 secs total. Any ideas why my timeline is running so long?
Hi Chay! Sorry to hear that you're running into an issue as well. Based on your image, it looks like your timeline is 13s long, but just zoomed out in your project to show more. Do you have a .story file that we could take a look at? Just let us know the slide you are having difficulty with.

Thank you, Wendy. That was easy! :O

Hope that makes sense.

Yes, that makes sense. Thanks!
Hi Bill
Here is a tutorial about customising the menu
Sounds like you need to reset the menu. Save your file then use the 'reset from story' option in the Player tab to see if that works for you.
