If I try to check update version or to access layout of storyline I've problems. My proxy permits access only with user autentication. My IT can open for some web site address with anonimous access but I don't know the exactly name of this web address.
If you're not able to enable the "check for updates" you could also see which version of Storyline is the newest by visiting the Support articles page and you'll see it documented at the top the Update number and release date. We're currently on update 6.
It sounds like you're also not able to get to the tutorials or other Storyline examples as mentioned here and there are some troubleshooting steps indicated for proxy settings.
