Page Numbering is not something that just happens automatically in Storyline. Page numbering favors a linear delivery (like PPT), so it is not something everyone needs when building courses in Storyline. But, if you created some sort of page numbering of your own and they are not displaying, then that is an issue. If you are referring to the slide numbering on the Menu, then you make those adjustments in the Player Design.

Just to ad to the discussion, you could edit the slide master to add a text place holder top right for numbering (Slide x of x). You would then right click on your existing slides and choose Reset Slide. This would bring in the place holder text.
