Publish for LMS, only pass if certain quiz score

Apr 24, 2017

Hi there!

Just a quick question. Generally when I publish courses for our LMS, I track completion based on the number of slides viewed. I am working on a course that I need to publish based on a quiz score. The learner needs to get an 80% or higher on the quiz to get credit for the course. I have set my quiz up and formatted my results slide with this information. I also went into my reporting and tracking settings and changed it to "track quiz using quiz result", but there isn't a place in there to put in the 80% part. Since I have this set up on my results slide, will it know not to give credit unless the results slide settings are met?

Thanks!!

Thank you. I know that's where the percentage is... but that's not what I was questioning. I have set that setting already:

My question was following that, I set my course to only track complete once the user gets that score. Meaning, in my LMS I do not want them to get credit for the course unless they've received an 80% or higher. When I go to my publish settings, here's what I have:

My question was, since this tracking slide does not let me specify that I only want them to get credit for the course if the quiz result is an 80% or above, will the software automatically know that since that's what is set in my results slide? Or will the learner get credit just because they finished the quiz?

Ah, thanks for the clarification Madeline.

Yes, the completionĀ is based on what you set during publish and will look to the results slide as you specified.

When you publish, click theĀ Reporting and TrackingĀ button and select the pair of values you want to use:

  • Passed/Incomplete
  • Passed/Failed
  • Completed/Incomplete
  • Completed/Failed

If your LMS tracks a completion statusĀ andĀ a success status, choose Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed. The other pairs report only completion status.
