Apologies if this subject has already come up, I tried searching for it and nothing was found.
I'm publishing my course for IE 8.0, which doesn't support HTML5. Users will have Flash. Should I deselect the HTML5 option when publishing? Does it matter? I'm really not sure what it does or if it creates new files or not.
Since you know your learners will only access the course via Flash-based browsers, there is really no point in selecting the HTML5 publishing options. If you do, nothing will 'break', it just adds a bunch of HTML5-specific files and a 'mobile' folder to the output folder that will never be used. Here is some info on publishing for web and if you are interested, here is some info specific to publishing for HTML5.
Hi Frances! Looks like Michael has provided you with some fantastic links here. I also wanted to share an article with you so you would understand how Storyline determines which version of your content to display when learners view it.
