Published content not showing on a Mac.

Sep 07, 2016

I have a user who can not view published Articulate story-line 2 content on their Mac- is there a solution to this?

The screen appears but comes up blank (see the attached screenshots).

Thanks!

Hi Pauline-

Thanks for reaching out here! What environment are you publishing for and where are they viewing it from on the Mac? If it's a Published for CD output and they're double clicking the launch_story.exe to run it,  they may encounter issues trying to access the published course locally on a Mac. Check out this article for more info and a possible workaround. Let me know if you have questions!

Dear Ali, I have the same trouble. I publish a course to SCORM and upload at E-learning LMS (Moodle). It works with Chrome, Firefox on my and any other PC. And it doesn't work on Mac - the screen appears and you are even able to click at the button... if you now where it ias, as the screen is completely "empty" - you do not see anything. I would be grateful if you could help me with that.

I think issue with Flash player version in Mac Machine.

Just for testing purpose unzip the package and edit the imsmanifest.xml with notepad and replace "index_lms.html" with "index_lms_html5" in the below line .

type="webcontent" href="index_lms.html" adlcp:scormtype="sco">

Zip the package again and re upload to SCORM and test. if its flash player issue then the current build will load in MAC

Thanks for popping in here to share that, Sinchu! :)

Sorry this is happening, Emilia. I'm not familiar with the testing method Sinchu described, however I would still recommend uploading your published course to SCORM Cloud to troubleshoot even without editing the published output. If you're able to reproduce this behavior in SCORM Cloud, could you share your .story project file here so we can do some testing? You can add it as an attachment right to a comment in this thread, or if you'd prefer you can share it privately with our Support Engineers by way of this form. Thanks!
