Published course looking "garbled"

Aug 02, 2018

I am having the weirdest issue. A course I published and posted on our LMS is coming out as a mishmash of elements from various pages. I've tried re-publishing, re-uploading, to no avail. I use a team style guide and always publish with the same settings and have double checked all of those. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I am working in Storyline 2.

Here's what I'm seeing:

Here's what the first slide of the course should look like:

Hi Anneke!

When you run into issues in a learning management system, it's often helpful to test the content in another environment. This will help you determine whether the issue is related to the Storyline course or to your LMS.

I hosted your content on SCORM Cloud and tested it in Firefox. You can view a recording of my testing here! As you can see, everything appeared to work correctly.

Could you also test this link in Firefox and let me know if it works well for you too?

Hi I am having the same issue with SL3.  I have tried to load the file to Scorm Cloud, but getting the error the "Course import failed, error was: The unzipped file content exceeds the Trial account storage limit".  The file is only 92MB.  The limit is 100MB.

what else can I do to address this problem?

I've seen this issue before. If you're uploading on top of a current instance in your LMS, there may be some caching issues. I'd suggest trying to set up a new course in your LMS, and ensuring that your browser cache is cleared.

Also make sure your slide resets to inital state when revisiting, this may be part of the issue here too.

Cheers

Ross
