Published Courses not Appearing Correctly

Hello everyone,

I am running into issues with courses that I have created in Storyline not appearing correctly after they have been published to our LMS. What I have discovered is that text is not appearing on the screen correctly, text bubbles are missing, text is overlapping etc...When I open the course in Storyline everything works as designed. When I publish to my desktop and open the story there, everything works fine. For some reason this keeps happening when the course is uploaded to our LMS. 

I am running Windows 7 / Office 2010 and uploading to Cornerstone. Any suggestions/help?

Hi Rhona,

Have you tried uploading it to another site such as SCORM Cloud or even a web server to see if the issue is LMS specific? There are a few free options if you'd like to upload to a web server such as: 

  • Tempshare: This is a free service provided by Articulate for testing Storyline content. Note: Uploaded files will be deleted after 10 days.
  • Amazon S3: Amazon S3 offers free hosting with generous usage limits. If you go over your limit, you'll be charged a graduated fee.
  • Dropbox: Place your published output in the Public folder in your Dropbox account to share it with others.
  • Google Drive: Change the story.html file to index.html, and set the sharing permissions to PublicHere's how.

    You mention that you are experiencing the same issue, so is this with your published output on your LMS not displaying as expected?

    Are you able to replicate this on SCORM Cloud or is this issue limited to your LMS?

    If you are able to replicate or need assistance testing, then with your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
