Publishing a Storyline file

Aug 25, 2014

Hi

I need to publish a storyline file in such a way that I can store it in SharePoint and users can directly access the file without having to save a SCORM file on their desktop, extract all, ....etc. We don't have an LMS so are using SharePoint. How do I publish this file?

Regards

Good Morning, Laticia.

You should be able to host Articulate content in your SharePoint server. First, use the Web publishing option for your Articulate content. Then, in SharePoint, switch to Explorer View before uploading your published output, as explained in this forum post. You may also need to check in your published files after uploading them to SharePoint.

Although we cannot provide direct support for SharePoint, this Forum Thread seems to imply that (1) the content must reside in a subfolder of a Document Library and that (2) the hyperlink to the content must be a Content Editor web part and not a Link List web part.

If you need to track learners' progress and results, publish your Articulate content for LMS (SCORM), and use SharePoint's free Learning Kit. If you need additional help, please ask your SharePoint administrator for assistance.

Good luck with your project!

Hi Laticia,

we do exacltly the same...
We publish and on our LMS and on our sharepoint (for testing puposes)

We configured sharepoint as if it is a drive, alternatively you can run it something like hppt://my_something/story.html

If your runiing it from sharepoint then your need to lanch the Story.html file, running from a LMS you'll use index_lms.html

Cheers

Geert
