Publishing as email

I have tried multiple features under publishing to generate a story that my director can review. When I use the publish as web, and select email, she is unable to view anything when she unzips the file and tries to view the html file. We are using Windows 8.1, with IE11. We downloaded a newer version of Flash player but she is still unable to view anything, it comes up as a blank white page. We tried the html link in the unzipped file, and also the unsupported link with same results. I was unable to view the file from the html link myself until I downloaded the newest Flash player. Is there another way to get this file to my director, or what are we doing incorrectly?

Hi Michele,

If you're sending this via email, perhaps the publish to CD option is a better choice?

If you need to distribute your Storyline content for offline viewing, publish for CD.

After publishing, do any of the following to share it with others. (Note: Double-click the Launch_Story.exe file in the published output to view the course.)

  • Burn the published output to a CD.
  • Burn the published output to a DVD.
  • Copy the published output to a USB drive.
  • Zip the published output, and copy it to a network drive. (Users must extract the zip file before viewing.)
  • Zip the published output, and email it directly to users. (Users must extract the zip file before viewing.)
