Publishing Course to HTML5

May 16, 2018

Hi,

I'm currently creating a course for multiple devices, including to mobile devices using html5 without using the Articulate Mobile player app.  When I have done a test and published including the option to include a html5 output and unchecking the option to use the Articulate mobile player, as this is not compatible with our business regulations I can't seem to get the course to play correctly on either iOS or Android devices.

When viewing the course on a computer with flash disabled the course displays correctly in a html5 format.  In either iOS Safari or Android Chrome, the page loads and a play button appears but when pressing this a white screen appears.  We have done testing with our LMS and uploaded a copy of the course to Scorm Cloud, again this works perfectly on a computer with flash disabled but when viewed on a mobile device the same issue occurs.

Looking at the page source on an Android device it seems that it is trying to launch via the html5 player as the following is displayed:

player.isHTML5 = true;

Has anyone come across this issue before?  I am not sure how else to test or a resolution to the issue.
