publishing error in tempshare.articulate.com

May 01, 2013

Hi,

I just began saving courses in TinCan API format from my usual SCORM in readiness to switch LMS to LearnDash and am experiencing a problem viewing them in Tempshare. When I try to view a course that is saved in TinCan API, and published to tempshare, and viewed on a desktop,  a window appears which reads "could not launch content". When I try to view the same tempshare published course on iPad, it plays, but  an error message window appears which reads "unable to connect to the server".  The iPad is streaming the course and playing the first scene behind the error message window.

Any ideas out there?

Robert

Hi Robert,

Tempshare isn't actually supported by Articulate, so the issue may be unique to that hosting site, but this article has some suggestions that may help.

You might also want to try testing your course in SCORM Cloud to help us determine if the issue is Articulate-related or if it's on your LMS's side. If it appears in SCORM Cloud as well, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what might be going on. If you can't replicate the issue in SCORM Cloud, it's probably an issue that you'd want to take to your LMS team.

The articles here and here may also help clear up common LMS issues.

Thanks!

Hi Robert-

When using LearnDash to launch the content, did you specify an end-point for the tincan statements in the settings menu of GrassBlade?  You will want to populate this with your LRS credentials (such as the ones supplied by WaxLRS). This is one reason why that error appears - feel free to reach out to me via the support desk as well.
