Can I publish my courses for an LMS and when an LMS is not being utilized just run the files on as a solitary web piece? Some of my clients will have an LMS and some will not. I was thinking of publishing for LMS and using that as my default format.
I would suggest publishing twice - once for LMS and once for web. Different files are created for each publish type, so to ensure it all works as expected you'll want to use the designated publish method.
I understand different files are created but it appears that LMS version simply adds files. If the baseline HTML/JavaScript files are still in place why would they function differently?
I can't say that I've tried it to see - but wouldn't want you to run into an unforeseen errors. The file structure is similar and the LMS version does have additional components. I guess my thought would be, that when loading the LMS published version to a web server, if there are more files you're taking up more space/bandwidth/etc.
