Publishing for offline use?

Sep 19, 2014

Hi

How do I publish to CD for offline use without all the folders being included? I know I can publish to web and use the mobile player for iPads and Android, but what about PC?

Any help gratefully received

Sounds like publishing the course for CD and allowing the student to take the course offline is your best option, recommended you read as we don't yet have the ability for a student to take a course offline, and then upload the results once they are connected to the internet. But allowing them to print their results is really easy. You'll just need to enable the option in your result slide:

Hi Helen,

thanks for your quick reply. Sorry, I don't think I was clear with my question or I haven't quite understood your response. I can publish to CD, but as this is going to be sold, there doesn't seem to be any way of stopping someone duplicating and forwarding any or all of the included files as they are all there in the folders. My courses will include a lot of original work and I wondered if there was a way of protecting the content.

Cheers

That's ok then

I've had a quick look online and there's plenty of tools out there that package installers in to .exe files, but I haven't found anything yet that relates to eLearning.

One additional thought though, how about turning the output folder in to a hidden folder on the CD and provide a shortcut on the main folder to the Launch_Story.exe file?
