I am trying to publish directly from storyline to web but it is not behaving how I hoped it would.
I want to create a link that, everytime I access it, takes me directly to my first slide. Rather, what is happening is I see the 'Resume' page and it then take me to the last page I visited.
I want this to act more like a guide with a home page that takes you to required information then back to 'Home Page / Main Menu'.

All you need to do is adjust the resume behavior of the file.
It sounds like the resume behavior it currently set to "Prompt to Resume," but you need the "Never Resume" setting.
Try adjusting that setting, then republish the file. Let me know if that's what you had in mind!
