I am working through the tutorial (trial version), and have also encountered the same issue since the update. For me, it generates an error when loading storyline files created before the update, and then upon preview of publish it generates the error as well.
I published my courses successfully for LMS, however, it showed an error when trying to publish to Review 360. I opened Internet Explorer and put in any site name, say BBC, which opened successfully on the BBC home page.
I then went back to publish my course to Review and it published perfectly.
I'm sorry publishing is failing after installing the latest update. I know that's frustrating.
We found the problem and the hotfix for the following items is released:
Fixed: Some courses wouldn't preview or publish after installing the previous update. Fixed: Storyline would crash when publishing on some computers with non-English system locales.
To get the fix, just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

Hi!
I am having same issue and now it appears I can't work on the projects - it produces an error when preview/publish.
Please fix ASAP.
Same here, everytime I preview/publish I get an error report.
Hi Steve
yes for both new and existing SL360 files preview or publish - I've logged a case so if I hear anything I'll post here.
Same here in France.
Ditto. The error log mentions 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'. Happens with all old and new Storyline projects.
Same here
I've managed to publish a new SL project containing one slide, but all older projects fail within seconds of starting the publishing process.
Yup, same for me, can't preview or publish, have logged it too
I have also tried some different things.
All projects I have tried are working just fine in WIN10 and with WIN7 I get the error on publishing and previewing.
On which OS are you working just to sort out the influence factors?
WIN7 64Bit
I have to use Storyline 3 instead of Storyline 360 as a temporary workaround.
Windows 10 - error on preview and publish, existing and new files.
Doesn't work neither on W7 nor W10. Existing or new files.
Only difference is :
- preview only 1 slide : nothing happens
- preview one scene or project : starts processing and stops at the middle
Yup, same as Wendy

Hope this is of some help.
Same here. working on a time critical project, has to be done by monday. Just purchased subscription. This is a very big issue at the moment
I desperately need to revert to the earlier version which worked flawlessly. How can I do that?
