publishing issue once I added multiple languages to notes

Jun 17, 2016

I have not had such an extreme issue in the past. Usually one of the below fixes eventually works. I added 4 language translations to the notes only in a simple and small file with only 10 fairly simple slides.  Now it will not publish.  I have tried:

  • update to latest version of storyline
  • start a new project and import in
  • uninstall and reinstall storyline
  • went back to file before update to notes - no issue when publishing
  • tried publishing a very large other file - no issue
  • tried this again and will not work - period.

I am adding the file  - help me please - Cynthia

Hi Cynthia,

Thanks for sharing your file - I took a look and saw it was set on the Articulate Online tab for publishing and so I published it to my Articulate Online account here.

I didn't have any difficulty publishing it. You tried all the standard things I would suggest as well - and it's certainly interesting to just be this one file. Were you publishing to Articulate Online? I could try a few other ways as well.

Hi Cynthia,

It defaults to whatever was last used in the file - so perhaps you'd clicked on that tab by accident.

I took a look again and did to LMS, SCORM 1.2, HTML5 and AMP (although the latter won't work without Tin Can instead of SCORM) and uploaded to SCORM Cloud which you can access it here. Again, it published fine and uploaded fine.

Player elements are not always carried from .story file to .story file, although you can share a player as detailed here.

Since our results are inconsistent, I'd ask if you'd want to work with our Support Engineers as they'll be able to gather a bit more system information and work with seeing what occurs on your end when you try to publish.
