Publishing multiple projects at the same time

Feb 12, 2013

Is it possible to publish more than one project at a time? I have multiple short projects which make up one unit. I have five units of projects total. Is it possible to publish all the projects in one unit all at the same time, or do I have to publish each project withint the unit separately?

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Jennifer!

You'll only be able to publish one course from Storyline at one time. You can open multiple instances of Storyline for multiple courses, but I don't believe that's really what you have in mind. If you'd like to see this type of functionality in future releases of the software, please share your suggestions in a feature request.

Thanks!

Welcome to the community, Jennifer!

You can only publish one Storyline project at a time at this point. Typically, the publish process is pretty resource-intensive and can put a strain on a lot of systems, but if publishing multiple projects at once is something you'd like to see in future versions, feel free to share a feature request

Thanks!

I have a question similiar to this one, I am still new to using Storyline and I published my first project.  Our  marketing department wanted to see it as it would go out to the public.  Once viewed I was asked to make some changes (good thing its only a few).  Can I publish this project again?  If so should I delete the other published project?

Thanks for your help on this one

Hi Karen,

You can definitely publish it again, and you'll need to make changes to the .story file to do so. Depending on your version controls or need to keep the first publish, you'll have the opportunity when you publish to rename it or place it within a different folder, or overwrite the first publish. Totally your call on what you choose to do.
