Publishing process not working
Dec 07, 2012
HELP HELP HELP!!!
Hi everyone,
I absolutely have to publish my latest module on our LMS by the end of the day.
Though, it does not want to publish. The module has 40 slides, and the publishing process stops when generating the 29th slide, without any explanation.
My project file is about 69 0000 Mo. Since I got a message saying that the available storage was low, I assumed at first it may have been because the file was too heavy.
But now, I'm not sure anymore, especially since i know some files have more than 100 slides...
Please, does anyone know why it cannot be published and how to fix this?? I've never had this kind of problem till now.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Audrey
What is "69 0000 Mo"? Is that 69Mb? Could you grab a screenshot of the "storage low" error?
Are you indicating this might be because of HDD space?
Have you tried published on another machine?
How about creating a new SL file > importing the one that isn't working > and publishing ...
Hi Simon,
My project file is actually 67 496 ko. (Sorry )
I cannot grab a screenshot of the "storage low" error, because it appeared only once.
I cannot try to publish it on another computer since I only have one license of Articulate Storyline.
I followed your advice and created a new file, imported the other but the publishing problem remains the same...
It may be because of RAM availability on my computer, but I checked and I still have 2,90 available.
My computer works with Intel Core 2 duo if this is of any help.
I forgot to add that the publishing process stops at the 29th slide, which corresponds to the beginning of the quiz.
Because I tried to delete 2 slides before the quiz, and then it freezes at the 27th slide, so I assume it has something to do with the quiz, but I don't know why.
Oh it's so frustrating!!!
Try replacing those slides (from 29 onwards) with something else and seeing how that works.
Then dump those slides (29 onwards) into a new SL and see if that publishes.
I'm just trying to see if there's something simple that can be eliminated. You might then be able to make a single tweak to X slide and all is fine ...
Here are the different things I tried:
So maybe that is something to do with the 39th slide (the last one) that is the conclusion. I recall that I got the "storage low" error message when achieving the conclusion slide. After the message disappeared, my slide became blank with the big red cross. But I could preview it perferctly.
Well this is weird, now i cannot even preview the conclusion....
Okay, I tried to edit the conclusion slide (the 40th and last one) and the "storage low" message appeared again, saying:
"Available Memory is Low: It is strongly recommended that you close any unneeded applications and save your project."
And now my slide is getting clank with a red cross again!
Latest news:
I deleted some objects of the conclusion slide since it's true the latter is long and having tons of objects, sounds, shapes...
and now it works!!!! pfew
Cool. Glad you got there in the end
