Wow! A course I developed last year working size of 450MB when published with the lowest quality was about 80mb. Now, when I publish the same course, with the lowest quality its 230mb. Is it the modern player adding an additional 150mb, or whats happening.
it's not the work files I have a issue with. Its the published course size. It was normally around 100mb, but now its 200mb. I now even tried the classic player and published it, still the same size so its not the players
Did you publish the course for Web, LMS, or something else? Additionally, would you mind sharing the .story file with our Support Engineers?
In fact, I see you reached out to our team yesterday regarding a resource usage issue. If both problems are happening with the same project, please use this unique upload link.
We'll have a look into what's happening with the resource usage + published package size and share our findings with you!
Yes I noticed that when I publish it in Flash, the it is about 80mb, but when I publish it in HTML5 is about 250 mb...the .js files alone are about 140mb..... why are the .js files to big....????
There are a few reasons why the HTML5 output could have a larger file size than the Flash output. To be sure, we'd want to have a closer look at your file, with your permission.
You can send it to our Support Team privately by uploading it here. They will delete the file when they are done troubleshooting.

Hi,
Try to SAVE-AS your working file and see if you can get a magic in file size.

That is why I want you to try to SAVE-AS, then publish.
Hi there, Kennethg. Happy to lend a hand, too!
