Publishing stops but no error message

Hello folks,
I'm having a strange issue where when I try to publish a course on a certain computer, it stops part-way through the process and returns to the Publish dialogue box. There are no error messages. It always stops at the same point ("Generating slide 9 of 30"). I was able to publish from the course file previously. Then, made some edits and now having this problem.
The really weird thing is I transferred the file to another computer and was able to publish from there. So I updated Storyline on the original computer from Update 5 to Update 6 (as per this article), then tried again. But still experiencing the same issue.
Anyone know what I should be troubleshooting to resolve this problem?
