Publishing Storyline in SCROM 1.2

Aug 01, 2013

I wll be publishing my first Storyline project in SCROM 1.2 .  I have 2 questions, First - do I need to do something special to insure that the course reports as completed if the participant has visited all slides?

Second, what do I need to do to make sure that a participant can stop or pause a course and return to the same place?

Hi Karen,

Congrats on your first project!  You can change the scorm settings to track slides viewed by clicking Publish > Select "LMS" as the publishing option > click the "Reporting and Tracking" button towards the bottom of the LMS publish window > then select "Tracking" and you'll see options to track with a quiz score or by slides viewed.

You can make sure the user resumes from where they left off by going to the "Player" option > then "Other" within the player options and you will see options for resuming when in an LMS.

Let me know if you can't find these options and I can post a screen shot for you.

I want to thank you for your help getting my first big project published and released to our general population.  Your tips on Tracking, Completion and pausing a course were right on and I'm very grateful..  Who knew that the scrolling option did exactly what I needed   Now that users are accessing the module we are running in to a problem with a small number showing up as not completed.  The LMS vendor thinks it may be a browser problem and has said that Yes their LMS is compatible with Chrome, however Articulate may not be fully compatible.   Anybody had a problem like this??  or have users using the Chrome browser?

Hi Karen,

Storyline is compatible with Google Chrome, so what I'd suggest to determine if there is something happening within the LMS or within your Storyline file is to test it within SCORM Cloud to see if you can replicate the issue.  If you'd like to share your .story file with our team by submitting a Support case we'll be happy to test it at the same time.
