Publishing to add course to my website

May 31, 2019

I am very new to Articulate Storyline (still trialing).  I created a test course and followed the instructions to 'publish to web'.    I cannot find where it published to; can't find a link which I can add to my website and when I log into Storyline that course is now in a yellow folder (different to the other test courses in progress which just show a pink sl) and the files in that folder are empty so I can't re-publish.  Quite confused... can anyone shed light on this?

Thank you

Hi Corinna,

When you publish to web, you should see a dialogue box appear on your screen once the publishing is complete:

If you then select Open, you will see all the new files and folders associated with your course and they should be located under your My Articulate Projects folder. The main folder for the published course will have the name that you gave it when you published the course (either the course name, which is the default, or anything else you changed it to before clicking the Publish button - in my case this was "Publish to Web Test").

You will also find that your original Storyline file is still in your My Articulate Projects folder so you haven't lost it; you just need to look lower down in the list of files. What has probably confused you is the fact that the new folder will have the same name.

If you go to your newly published course folder and double-click on either the story or story_html5 file, your course should open in your web browser. (Note: do this from inside Windows Explorer, don't try opening your html files from within Storyline.)
