Publishing to LMS Moodle with branching
Jul 23, 2019
Hello everyone,
Hope someone can shed some light and offer guidance. I'm trying to find out if this can work, or how it can work.
I have one module, composed of 2 scenes, learners can either choose to do scene 1 or choose to do scene 2.
- 1 scene with 4 chapters that must be viewed
- 1 scene that is a quiz (learner must have a passing rate of 80%)
Scene 1 must have all 4 chapters viewed.
Scene 2 quiz must be passed.
How can this work, as tracking goes ? Or is it possible? Would it be best to separate scenes into individual 'modules' and host them separately on the LMS?
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Julie

I would create 2 courses and have them choose in the LMS which one to take. We can do that it Cornerstone. I don't know if you can do that in Moodle.
Thanks Diane. That's what I want to do, but wanted to know if there's a less complicated way of doing so, or what's best for user experience.
Due to the way Storyline publishing options work I don't know any way of putting it in a single course.
Thanks Diane for your input.
Have a great day!
You could use the complete course trigger which could be used to pass either branch but would not send question level data.
Thanks Phil for the info. I guess I'll just have to create 2 standalone modules.
