Publishing to word - Scroll bars

Feb 04, 2015

Hi,

I am publishing to word to give the participants a hard copy of the material.

The information in the scroll bars will not show in the screen shots...

Thus there is missing information... (do I just avoid the scroll bars all together?)

Annoying.. as we are using the scroll bars to hide information but this information should still be present as part of the course material...

Any ideas...

I have been told there is no work around this via your agent.

The information in the scroll bars is not only text but images and tables etc.  This is quite annoying as you have encouraged the use of scroll bars in your tutorials as a feature to add extra information. https://community.articulate.com/series/5/articles/adding-scrolling-panels

Yet this information can not be published for a hard copy :(( without some kind of manual screen capture, or extra labour with pasting the text in again into the notes section?

You should probably add to that page IMPORTANT: The information hidden within your scroll bars will not publish to word for a hard copy

I will have to avoid using the scroll bars in any future units as there is no capability to have this information in the hard copy.

Brett, better off hiding information in slide layers at least they publish.

Thanks...

If we feel strongly?! This should have been part of the original design build. Yes, we feel strongly that publish to Word should show all of the content, even in scrollable areas. We paid for software to publish to Word, but Storyline does not publish all content in scrollable areas. This makes the feature useless.

I added a feature request above and I encourage everyone else to do so as well.
