Recently the provider I use to host my e-learning stopped supporting flash. I use Storyline 2. From my understanding, it publishes on HTML5 with flash files. Is there a way to publish without flash on Storyline 2?
Storyline 2 always will include Flash content in the published output, and you can choose to include HTML5 output as well. If your e-learning hosting platform no longer supports Flash files, you may want to look at upgrading to Storyline 3 or Articulate 360 (which includes Storyline 360).
You can easily update the files to the latest versions and choose to publish for HTML5 only.
If you have any questions about upgrading and next steps, our Sales team is available using any of the contact options here.
What has been your experience with updating these files to a newer version of Storyline? I personally have found issues with completion triggers, so we've had to tinker with the new files a bit to make them report properly.
You'll find improvements and changes when upgrading but they are a more elevated experience. I haven't heard of any issues with upgrading projects that have customized triggers or variables.
On the plus side, your course will be upgraded automatically, and a backup copy of the original project file will be created in case you need to go back to it later. (Storyline 360 projects can't be opened or edited with previous versions of Storyline.)

Hello Alejandro!

Here's our recommendations on upgrading courses to newer versions of Storyline!
