Publishing without LMS
Dec 01, 2015
I'm trying to figure out a way to publish content that was designed to sit on an LMS (and wiorks well), but because LMS is temporarily unavailable, I need to publish via the web. Granted, I am no techno-expert. Nevertheless, I am unsuccessful...I get an error message about checking my default email server. 1) How do I check that?; 2)Is this related to the size of the course (54 slides)?

Hi Margaret,
Are you following the steps here in regards to publishing for web? At what point do you see the email server message? Are you trying to email the published output to someone? It may be too large to email - but you'll want to ensure you've zipped the published output to make it a bit smaller.
Please feel free to let us know if you're still having difficulty after checking those steps and any other information that you can share about when and how you're seeing this would be helpful.

Hi Margaret,
Not sure if you meant to include anything else here - but just an FYI that responding via email includes your signature here so you're welcome to edit the post to remove that information if you wish.
You'll need to visit the forum thread and right below your replies you'll see an option to "edit"
Can you see the screen shots below???
Hi Margaret,
Nope -unfortunately not. If you're responding via email attachments or images are also not uploaded the forums, which it looked like you also tried to do in this thread. If you're publishing for web you'll need to upload to a web server for others to access it using the story.html link - just emailing the entire published output to a user and having them run it locally could cause them to encounter security issues such as described here.
